The shallow protected waters of Baileys Harbor are home to over a dozen 1800’s wooden shipwrecks, nearly all of them viewable from the surface. The abundance of these underwater treasures makes Baileys Harbor a pinnacle of Door County maritime history and gives visitors the opportunity to explore and enjoy the sunken wonders of our past.

Kangaroo Lake, Door County’s largest inland lake, provides excellent walleye, bass and pan fishing year round. Summer afternoons are popular with water sport enthusiasts with a boat launch and canoe/kayak launch site. Don’t have a boat? Cast out a line from the causeway and enjoy the breezes off the lake.
